Privacy Policy

Data we collect

VLyrics stores your account email, password hash, display name, optional avatar, plan, token balance, consent version, and product usage needed to operate your account. Passwords are salted and hashed; the original password is not stored.

Media processing

Audio is uploaded temporarily when you request transcription or lyric alignment. Depending on the selected mode, audio and lyrics may be processed by the VLyrics server and OpenAI. Background photos and videos normally stay on your device. During MP4 export, an intermediate video is uploaded temporarily to the VLyrics server for conversion.

Retention

Temporary audio and processing files are removed after the request finishes. Export download files expire after approximately 10 minutes. Account data remains until you delete the account. Product analytics is retained for up to 12 months. Support messages remain until resolved or until the related account is deleted.

Service providers

VLyrics may use OpenAI for transcription and visual direction, Resend for support email delivery, and Google Play services for distribution, purchases, advertising, crash reporting, and aggregated analytics. These providers process only the data required for the selected feature.

How data is used

Data is used to provide synchronization and export, maintain token balances and purchases, prevent abuse, diagnose failures, answer support requests, and improve VLyrics. VLyrics does not sell personal data.

Your choices

You may use basic local editing without adding a background video. You can remove media from a project, sign out, or permanently delete your account and associated data from the profile menu. An external deletion pathway is also available.

Security and children

Production traffic is sent over HTTPS and access tokens are signed. No system is perfectly secure. VLyrics is not directed to children under 13, or the higher minimum age required in their country.
